30 x 30 Series, Monarch (Preparatory Drawing)

$950.00

This original graphite drawing is part of Richard Beerhorst’s ongoing 30 x 30 Series. Measuring 30 × 30 cm, it serves as a preparatory work for one of his oil paintings.

The faint grid visible across the surface is more than a draftsman’s tool—it echoes the way we bring form out of the unseen, setting coordinates for what will emerge. Much like mapping a place on a chart, the grid suggests the act of manifesting from the quantum field: intentions carried by emotion, imagination turning into matter.

Everyday objects—a butterfly matchbox, pipes, a thimble, a slice of melon—are arranged like fragments of memory and ritual. The butterfly, symbol of transformation, rests at the threshold between order and freedom.

Original graphite on paper, signed and dated.
